1) Wang Lung begins to enjoy not having to bring the Old Man his tea in the mornings.
2) O Lan was a good wife. She did her house work well.
3) O Lan must have been a good servant at the Hwang's house.
4) Wang Lung is proud of O Lan when he saw all the work she did at home.
5) The Old Man was happy to learn that O Lan was pregnant.

1) Why doesn't O Lan speak?
